Guidelines for Grading 9-11: Semester 1 and Quarter 3

1st SemesterGrades have already been submitted and stored for this date range.
Students are no longer allowed to submit make-up work to improve their grade.
Not applicable.
3rd Quarter (Jan 27 - March 27)
Grades have already been submitted and stored for this date range.
Students are allowed to make-up work assigned during this time. Teachers will need to submit a grade change form for each student this affects.
Formal grades were permitted until March 13.*There should be no
grades in PS dated March 16- April 3.
March 16 - April 3This was a period of supplemental work with no new grading. There should be
no grades in Powerschool for these dates.

Informal Grades Only
Exempt any work not submitted. NOTE: Students are still able to make up work from 3rd quarter during this time.
No formal grades are permitted during this time.
No more than 2 per week (8 total)Mastery= 100/Partial Mastery= 89Completion of graded + ungraded assignments should not exceed 180 min (semester)/90 min (yearlong) per week.* The only grades that are permitted in the gradebook are 100, 89, or Exempt

No formal grades are permitted during this time.

Guidelines for Grading Seniors

March 16 - May 29This was a period of supplemental work with no new grading. Learning
opportunities should still be provided during this time. Students should be allowed to make-up any work for credit from the school year during these dates.

Final Grades for Grades 9 -11• Students in Grades 9 -11 will have options on
how their grade will appear on their transcript for Semester 2 courses.
• Yearlong A/B Courses will have 1 additional option concerning Semester 1.
• Students who can’t be contacted will be given Option 2/Option 3 by default, and will be able to choose after school reopens in Fall 2020.
