Now I lay me down to sleepI pray my job and benefits to keep.

I pray my stocks are on the riseAnd that my analyst is wise.

I pray my ancient furnace worksAnd that my career won’t lose its perks.

I pray my health club doesn’t closeAnd that my money market grows.

If I go broke before I wakeI pray my auto they won’t take.

Amen.

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously

will also reap generously.

7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under

compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

- II Corinthians 9:6-7

My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands

in your heart,2 for they will prolong your

life many years and bring you peace and prosperity.

3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;

bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

4 Then you will win favor and a good name

in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your

paths straight.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.

8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.

Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of

all your crops;

10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,

and your vats will brim over with new wine.

- Proverbs 3:1-10

The BIG $$ Choice

Will you honour God with your money?

Every Dollar is on loan

The earth is the Lord’s and all it contains.

- Psalm 24:1

The land…shall not be sold permanently, for the land is mine.

- Leviticus 25:23

For every beast of the forest is mine and the cattle on a thousand hills.

- Psalm 50:10

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine.

- Haggai 2:8

Everything in heaven and earth is yours, yours, O Lord,

is the kingdom, you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and

honour come from you… - I Chronicles 29:11-12

Every Dollar is on loan

When we acknowledge God’s ownership, every

financial decision becomes a spiritual decision.

- Larry Burkett

Trust God as your security net

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with

what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you;

never will I forsake you.’

So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my help; I will not be afraid.’

- Hebrews 13:5-6

Trust God as your security net

Money, most common of temporal things, involves uncommon and eternal consequences. Even though it may be done

quite unconsciously, money moulds people.

Depending upon how it is handled, it proves a blessing or a curse

to its possessor; either the person becomes master of money,

or the money becomes master of the person.

Our Lord takes money, the thing that, essential though

it is to our common life, sometimes seems so sordid,

and he makes it a touchstone to test the lives of people and

an instrument for moulding them into the likeness of himself. - David McConaughy
