Norman D. Kepner Chapter

The purpose of this organization shall be to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character in

the students of secondary schools.

The mission of the chapter shall be: “The Norman D. Kepner Chapter of the Howland National Honor Society

strives to enhance student development through scholarship, leadership, service and character. We

encourage a higher standard of education and professional moral standing by taking initiative to promote positive

change through selfless service to our school and community. Through our commitment to exceed these expectations, each individual will serve as a pillar to the

advancement of the Chapter’s legacy.”

• 3.4 GPA with 2 Honors Courses

• 3.6 GPA with College Prep Courses

• 8 activity points – school organizations/sports/etc.

• 40 logged service hours
