Are All Religions True? There is a wave flooding our culture that
says, “It doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you believe…it
doesn’t matter which church you connect with as long as you connect
with a church…all churches are just on different paths to the same
place.” With all the love in my heart, not all religious beliefs
can be true! #1—If all religious beliefs are true, what about the
religious beliefs that oppose one another? They cannot both be
true. If Christianity is true, then it’s dangerous to your eternal
destiny not to be a Christian. Likewise, if Islam is true, then
it’s dangerous to your eternal destiny not to be a Muslim. #2—Some
say that no one should ever question another person’s beliefs
because each individual’s beliefs are right for them. However, if
my religious beliefs cause me to question and examine yours, are
they saying I’m right for having a religious belief and also saying
I’m wrong because my belief is to question and examine? This
statement is self-defeating! #3—The Bible commands Christians to
questions beliefs to be sure they align with God’s will
(Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 1 John 4:1; Galatians 1:8; 1 Corinthians
11:13). Since we have a religious belief, supported by the Bible,
that causes us to test and question beliefs, shouldn’t religious
pluralists (people who believe all religious beliefs are true)
accept that belief as true? Otherwise they would be
self-contradicting. #4—When questioning someone else’s religious
beliefs, often the response is a statement where Jesus cautioned us
with judging (Matthew 7:1–5)? Jesus did not prohibit the making of
judgments. Jesus prohibited hypocritical judging. All people—
atheists, pluralists, agnostics, and Christians alike—must make
judgments. Making a judgment is not what was is in question with
Jesus, but rather, is the individual being hypocritical while
making necessary judgments? “Since, logically, all religions cannot
be true, we cannot subscribe to the new definition of tolerance
that demands that we accept the impossible idea that all religious
beliefs are true. We are to respect the beliefs of others, but
lovingly tell them the truth. After all, if you truly love and
respect people, you will tactfully tell the truth about information
that may have eternal consequences.” Summarized & Quoted from:
Norman Geisler and Frank Turek, I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an
Atheist (Wheaton, Ill: Crossway, 2004), 46–50.

Alleged Bible Contradictions (John 6:52-59)
Last Monday night began our renewal of the ministry that gathers
for about an hour to encourage, work around the building, plan for
the future, make visits and calls and do various works that make
things run smoother around the facility.
There were six people who worked in the WBS room, sending out
lessons to foreign countries.
Seven writers sent cards, notes and invitations to seventy-six
people. A few visits to nursing homes and shut-ins were made. Work
began on preparing some rooms for the young professionals to put to
good use.
Donna Weatherford and her children spent a good amount of time
straightening up the songbook racks and picking up the left over
bulletins from the pews.
We had a prayer for those who were listed as being sick at home or
unable to be at worship due to health reasons, as well as for those
who had requested an interest in our prayers as family of believers
here at Florence Blvd.
Hopefully, the weather will be somewhat warmer tomorrow night as we
plan to meet again at 6:45 pm to devote an hour to the Lord’s work
here at Florence Blvd. We hope to see you there!
