NAIROBI ACADEMY PREPARATORY
SCHOOL 17th February, 2017 Volume 2 Issue 17 www.nairobiacademy.or.ke
Note from the Head The first half of this term has been packed with many very exciting events and it has been wonderful for you to come and participate in many of them. We will culminate the end of this half term with a fantastic play - The Little Mermaid - performed by the Year 4 children. It is incredi-ble to see the amount of talent we have in this school. I hope we see you here this evening. Enjoy your half term break with your children and please remind them to complete their Inter-House Art Competition pieces titled UNDER THE SEA during the holiday. Have a lovely time.!!

Grandparents Day & Swimming Gala
On Friday 10th February we held our annual Grandparent's Day and Swimming Gala. We started off with a delightful
assembly about grandparents performed by Year 2P. The grandparents then had some refreshments and then went to
visit their grandchildren in class. It was nice to see them in class joining in
the lessons when I popped
my head round the door.
Some of them mentioned
that they had learned some
new things and also com-
mented on how much more
interesting the lessons were
compared with lessons in
their day.
We then headed to the swimming
pool for our inter-house swimming
gala. The pool was sparkling, the sun
was shining the children were cheer-
ing and every single child (all 260 of
them) participated. There was some
great talent and the excitement level
was high both amongst the children
and the adults. A
break in the mid-
dle where we
could all have a
picnic lunch and
socialize a bit
made it a perfect
day .
