General Structure of a Country Survey Plan
Country Survey Plan
• Country teams will be required to draft and present a country survey plan on the last day of the workshop
• The Country Survey Plan is the penultimate/final survey plan of countries

• Facilitators will work with groups of countries both during workshop hours and after the workshop, if needed
• Bilateral meetings will also be organized to meet with country teams
• Country teams will be provided with templates that they can use to develop/finalize their plans

• Sessions specifically allocated to work on Country Survey Plans

• 10 minute presentations during the morning session on the last day
• Presentation by the survey coordinator (or the UNICEF officer)
• Followed by brief discussion
• Will be shared among all participants

• Which modules will be retained, which modules will not be used?
• Any issues regarding specific questions or question groups?

• What will be the sample size?
• Sample frame? Updating necessary?
• What will be the general design characteristics of the sample?
• What will be the level of aggregation?
CSP should answer….
• How will the fieldwork be organized? Who will be the field staff?
• What kind of technical support will be needed? In what areas? Who from?
• How much will the MICS3/major budget line items cost?
CSP should answer….
• What is the timetable envisaged for MICS3 activities?
• What are the major challenges?
• What will be needed from RO/HQ?
