Why?

• “au” + season for “printemps”

• “en” + season for été, hiver and automne

Pourquoi???

• Hiver, été and automne all begin with vowels or vowel sounds. Use “en” to say “in the…” + season

• Printemps is the only season that begins with a consonant. Use “au” to say “in the”.

• Le 14 juillet• Le 31 octobre• Le 1 mai (le premier for the first)
