HansDannenberg Castellanos, ambassa-dor of the Dominican Repub-lic, came late be-cause he was com-ing directly fromairport to the ven-ue, since he’d justarrived from Viet-nam. WELL BEGUN IS HALF DONE: What happens when you bring to-gether Bollywood celebs and a spa launch? Relaxation for thecelebs? Well, not quite – it leads to a happening do and a fashionshow, with Delhi’s social circuit regulars in attendance. The ThreeGraces spa at Rajouri Garden, which aims to provide the best ofhealth, wellness and beauty services to its customers, sawa launch full of glitter and glam recently, including a showby Ranna Gill, with actors Kunal Kapoor and MugdhaGodse in attendance.HALE AND PARTY: Despite coming fromthe other end of town, most party regulars ar-rived ‘almost’ on time, with the ladies leadingthe pack. The launch was complemented withample doses of Bollywood, fashion, glamourand great music.Payal Senwas one of the ear-ly birds, and managed to catch enough chit-chat time with Ranna.FASHION SPECIAL: Mugdha andKunal unveiled the spa, and Mugdhawas also the showstopper for Ran-na’s show. Guests couldn’t getenough of the two Bollywood starsand kept trying to break securitycircles for their photographs andautographs. By this time, the ven-ue had become so crowded thatsome of the ladies stepped on to thetreadmill in the hall to view the fashionshow from a better position. Seeing this,Chhaya Momaya said, “Now don’t startworking out, ladies!” But Chhaya, the bra-ins behind the launch, seemed to be work-ing out quite a bit herself as she greeted allthe guests at the launch.FRIENDS AND FAMILY: We also spottedAmitabh Kant with his wife Ranjeeta at thedo, and asked them about their fondness forwellness. Kant told us, “Well, we’re actuallyhere for the family. I’ve known them and Ab-hit’s (Sud, the host of the evening) father fora long while now – in fact, since they startedAmatrra in Delhi. I was part of the ITDCthen.” Abhit, MD, Three Graces, seemed hap-py at the response. He said, “I’m so glad thatmy project is seeing the light of day. We’ve allworked hard on this and since this is a nicheproduct, it required all the more effort. ButI’m happy with the result.”
