Jefferson Awards – Deloitte

Recognize a student every month at rallies, assemblies, etc.

Display winners on poster or plaque Put winners on school website, school newspaper

(The Union), newsletters (parents, students, etc.)

One student leader per grade—certain class officer

Committed faculty coordinator

Implement a Help Desk Set up table outside once every two months run by

student leaders promoting different community service opportunities

Gets the word out about nominating students

Fundraise Restaurant nights, Sees Candy, pies, magazines, working

with another school to have a yard sale Used for:

Plaque and other ways to promote program Student “grants” to help fund service projects

Noontime in theatre Students promote service

projects Guest speakers

People who have made great impact

People looking for help with projects

Relay service stories to Milpitas Post Monthly feature for winner

Sell and market program

Meet with other high schools in the area (Piedmont & Independence), share slideshow and promote the program, etc.

A recognition dinner with key leaders from the community

Utilizing clubs on campus to get the word out about the program. Monthly CLOG reports show students the different service projects their peers are involved in.
