What happens when Melamine is digested?

1. Melamine remains inside the kidney. 2. Forms into stones blocking the tubes.3. Kidney will then swell. 4. It can lead to loss of kidney function. 5. Patient will require kidney dialysis. 6. Can lead to death because of uremia.

Symptoms: pain, cannot urinate

Surgery can remove the stones, but

it will cause irreversible kidney damage.

What is dialysis?Dialysis is required for patients who have temporarily or permanently lost their kidney functions.

It helps by filtering the blood through a machine to rid the body of harmful wastes, extra salt and water.
