What is it? A mobile device based application which accesses

the built-in ability to know the location of the device. Is it New?

Ruling 94-102 passed by the Federal Communications Commission in 1996. Established mobile device location detection for E911 services.

Cellular Network Angle of Arrival, Time of Arrival. All are methods of triangulation

to provide latitude and longitude.

Satellite Same method as the GPS in a car Triangulates between three or

more satellites in orbit.
