Not every campus can boast its own art museum. Marquette University is home to the Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Museum of Art, which features more than 8,000 works from Old Masters to contemporary art.

Admission is free and the museum is open seven days a week.

14th or 15th Century: Constructed in southeast France; 1926: Acquired by Mrs. Gertrude Hill Gavin, who had it

transferred to her estate on New York’s Long Island; 1962: Estate passed into possession of Mr. & Mrs. Marc B.

Rojtman; 1964: The Rojtmans presented the Chapel to Marquette and

had it dismantled and sent to the campus for the university to reconstruct;

1965: Reconstruction started in July; 1966: Chapel was dedicated May 26.
