SOZO Global was founded by Mark Adams and his two partners in 2009 after Advocate MD joined The Doctors Company conglomerate.

Graduated from Texas State University (then Southwest Texas State) in 1985. In 2003, Mark Adams founded a medical malpractice liability insurance company called Advocate MD where he served as President and CEO. Mark Adams won the 2008 Ernst& Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in central Texas. Mark Adams grows Advocate MD into the third largest medical malpractice insurer in Texas over just 5 years.
