CASSACombinazioni Architettoniche Su Sfondo AgricoloAbitare il Tempo 2009Verona, Italy

In a future vision in which it will be increasingly prac-ticed the tourism in agricultural and unspoiled places, CAS[S]A is proposed as a new kind oftourism accommodation.

The project CAS[S]A consists of a series of wooden modular containers for the temporary living. The modules, that are set in an agricultural areas or in natural areas, allow to their inhabitants to live the in-terior space in close contact with the outdoor, through a direct relation of senses. They contain spaces and therefore functions, but at the same time they’re sensi-tive to the continuous change of the exterior life, such as its sounds, its smells and its colours, presenting a fascinating and a engaging holiday for its inhabitants.Inside CAS[S]A the modern man can acquire greater awareness of his body and its limits, discovering the biological time and its rhythms and at the same time recognising himself as part of the “green” landscape. This way he will see increasing his respect and respon-sibility towards his natural habitat. This product has been presented at the furniture exhibi-tion in Verona “Abitare il Tempo 2009” (pavilion “Interior Architecture”).

LIO PICCOLODiscover the bio-diversity of Venice lagoon Venice, Italy

The main goal of this project is making people aware of the complex eco-system of Venice Lagoon, of its lush biodiversity and of the biological time which rules it. This way people will see increasing their responsability towards the enviroment.

To obtain this goal it’s interesting the thinking for the expantion of the research on Venice Lagoon’s habitats and the planning of a new network done with paths and structures. These actions will be useful for the ospital-ity of tourists and researchers who will be supported better for the knowledge of the Lagoon’s life and of the importance of its safeguard and biodiversity. It isn’t a new touristic offer but it is a proposal to con-nected with the existent tourist services. It proposes to the inhabitant of the Lagoon some paths to be traveled by bike, by boat, and walking. In this way he will try to live the Lagoon beyond the time that the civilization imposes.
