EXPERIENCE

After high school Margaret attended PCC taking art & cosmetology classes. After graduation from collage she later apprenticed under special make-up effects and creature designer Rob Bottin. Margaret worked in Rob’s early studio becoming “One of the guys” – from working on creating make-up and creature effects in his studio, to assisting Rob with make-up effects on set. Margaret became the lead cosmetic paint artist at Rob’s studio working on films that include - “The Howling”, The Thing”, “Twilight Zone: The Movie” and “Legend”. Later Margaret worked on set as Rob’s special make-up artist on films including - “Robocop”, “Total Recall”, “Basic Instinct”, “Seven” and “Fight Club”. Margaret has also worked with many of the film industries other top award winning make-up and visual effects artists including - Rick Baker, Stan Winston, Greg Cannom, Ve Neil & Randolph Cook. Margaret has worked on many films that have been nominated or won The Academy Award for special make-up and visual effect, such as - “The Fly”, “Legend”, “Beetlejuice”, “Coming to America”, “Total Recall”, “Star Trek VI”, “Bicentennial Man”, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “A Beautiful Mind” and “Click”. Most recently for “Cirque Du Freak - The Vampire's Assistant”, Margaret transform actor Patrick Fugit into “Evra the Snake Boy”. Margaret has 30 years working experience in pre-production & on set - she has been an active member of Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Local 706 for over 20 years.
