"Matteo Rebuffa, is a photographer beyond the camera. He needed to keep his ears awake and to get very strong legs. And very importantly, he needed the ability to adapt the project to the territory. He made a lot of kilometers around Cal Gras, looking for the limits of the nature and the impact of the man’s on it. Matteo has shown an immense sensibility, complying fully with the challenges that demanded the project. He has reached such a good result by talking, watching and listening the landscape and its inhabitants. He has always respected the opinions coming from outside. At the same time, he has kept thoughts and opinions of his own and by sharing them he has reflected his different point of view with his enthusiastic approach. In a time when photography is searching new “paths” to be walked down, Matteo not only looks for them but he walks right through the middle of them."
