The problem we face in getting the gospel to the world has become an overwhelm-ing task. Our fathers, as well as we, have failed to heed the command of Jesus to pray for laborers to go into God’s harvest, Matt. 9:37-38. We must obey that command now with earnestness and sincerity.

Our world now has near seven billion people of whom the majority live in “closed” countries. These countries are closed to missionaries so that no matter how many missionaries there are they will not be able to enter these countries as missionaries. And while we thank the Lord for those who enter “closed” countries as “tent makers” so they will have the opportunity to present the gospel, their ministry is limited. They do not have the freedom to evangelize through methods others have in “open” coun-tries.

We want to encourage you to pray three ways to ful�l Matthew 9:37-38

1. Pray for God to continue to call workers from our local churches.

2. Pray for God to save and call expatriates (aliens) to take the gospel to their own people.

3. For God to raise up laborers
