Pacific National Exhibition (PNE)100 Year Anniversary Campaign

Result: Strong social media uptake reinforces brand with youth market.

Goal: Celebrate 100 Year Anniversary. Position Fair of the Fu-ture.

The Pacific National Exhibition was looking for a way to celebrate

their 100th Anniversary that reinforced the relevancy of the brand

amongst communities of youth and young families. Every aspect

of 2010 communications took on the 100 Years of Fun message,

logo and colour scheme.

Kinetix integrated the PNE’s online social media and email cam-

paigns into the 100 Years of Fun theme, while maintaining the

distinctive elements of community required for each channel.

Each channel was branded to reinforce the celebratory theme

and content plans were customized to reinforce the underlying

communication that the PNE is a modern and relevant event.

The Pacific National Exhibition social media channels reached a

new milestone of engaged users with more than 7,000 Likes on

Facebook, 700 Followers on Twitter and a total of 111,955 video

upload views on YouTube. The 100 Years of Fun message was

consistent across all channels and helped the Pacific National

Exhibition maintain a strong campaign for the year that projected

the Fair as the place to be now and in the future.
