SenSeS come alive.they take notice of thingS. they Soak in thiS place where warm waveS collide with cold beer and Smiling faceS. ruleS are leSS invaSive. waveS are plentiful. there iS alwayS juSt a hint of danger. food iS cooked how we like it: outSide and freSh from the boat. with lotS of lime. everything comeS to you in hueS of yellow and blue. we never have to change clotheS. wet trunkS will do juSt fine. we love the chickenS and dogS that roam free. the SwediSh, german, dutch, french, portugueSe and SpaniSh touriSt girlS. the local girlS. the leftS. the rightS. the beachbreak barrelS. the Sand and the magic it makeS. the heat. the Sweat. the SmileS. it’S all part of a country who remind uS of timeS when we felt more alive than any other time. thiS year Surfing’S Staff photographerS tom carey and jeff flindt embedded themSelveS deep among the warmth and waveS that make up our neighbor to the South. here iS what they found.
