Legacy Keepers R Us: Who We Are
The Occasion We are continuing the legacies of John Cooper's Distinguished Men and Women of the Year, that ended with his death in 1986 and Amanda Fuhr-Watts Community Heritage Calendars that were
published and distributed 1985-1993. Mr. Cooper’s collection was kept and displayed in the back room of the original Martin Luther King Center before the new facility was built in 2016. This Hon-ors bruncheon is designed to boost morale, inspire our youth and boost pride in our community
heritage. Showing the world what "A Real Okie" from Muskogee, Oklahoma is all about.
Amanda Fuhr Watts John Cooper

Legacy Keepers R US Honors Bruncheon Committee Members
Legacy Keepers R Us was started in 1991 by ShIronbutterfly Thomas Ray. Over the past 29 years, members of Legacy Keepers have dedicated countless hours to preserving various legacies related to the Muskogee and Oklahoma history. We are dedicated to
preserving history in an informative and entertaining format for the next generations to explore. Notable people, places and events will be highlighted. African-Native American
Tours will blend history & folklore. We also seek to provide archives for the 3 Rivers Museum, Muskogee, Muskogee Public Library and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Community Center as resources for future generations.
