Selecting A Company And Industry

Personal interest: pick a sector you are interested in, e.g. financial services, energy and mining, telecommunications, high tech. retail, automotive, airlines, etc.

Pick an example from your textbook and/or use

Do some preliminary research on your company; make sure it is appropriate for this assignment; check with Prof. Nixon.

Doing The Research

Use the Library Catalogue to search for books on your company, the industry, and aspects of corporate governance. Books tend to give more of an overview on your topic.

Search Library Databases, e.g. Business Source Complete, ProQuest Business, and Google Scholar for more specific, focused research.
