Lab 1: Interface LabThe first lab session begins with a blank Motion document.
Objective
The objective of this lab session is to resent the !irtual.Lab Motion rogram to newusers. The user is steed through the rocess of oening a new document" interactingwith the interface" and saving the model file. Primar# focus is laced on resenting thebasic menu functionalit# and workbench concets to rovide a basis for detailed modelconstruction and anal#sis in later lab sessions.

This menu bar is made available to the user at the to of the modeling interface. Thereare numerous oerative commands within the !irtual.Lab interface that can beaccessed through the Main Menu ar. These commands can also be accessed atalternative locations within the interface. These locations will be elained later withinthis lab.

The %ecification Tree is slit into
two main branches" the LinksManager" and the $nal#sis Model.
The Links Manager rovides a
reference to an# eternal files beingutili6ed in the current !irtual.Labsession.

recorded under the $nal#sis Modelbranch of the %ecification Tree.
Model *isla#
The oen sace in the interface used for disla#ing the model geometr#" and
icons associated with model elements.
$nimation of the model solution will be disla#ed in this field.
%election of elements can be done from the %ecification Tree or the Model
*isla#. %elected items will highlight orange in both areas of the interface.
