The dreaded “What do you want to do?” conversation

IDK

What you have going on this Saturday?

Do you know any coolbars in the area?

Ugh, it’s supposed to rain today, what should we do?

I need a cool idea for a second date, any ideas?

What do you want to do this weekend?

It’s supposed to be beautiful tomorrow, want to try something outdoors?

My parents are coming into town this weekend, what do you think they’d enjoy seeing?

Problem Statement

Courtney needs a better way to plan activities with friends because she feels like they often do the same things over and over, or nothing at all when no

one can come up with an idea.

User Research and Persona

“Last weekend, me and a bunch of friends were trying to decide what to do. We debated about it and went back and forth for so long, we didn’t wind up going out at all.” ~Makenna

“I’ve definitely defaulted on a place I know and have been to before because I don’t know of anything else.” ~Patrick

“A friend has been trying to plan something for quite a while, but it’s hard to get everyone organized. Scheduling can be difficult with lots of people.” ~Riley

Usability Testing & Next Steps

Imagine you’re trying to make dinner plans with your friends this Friday in Washington, DC. You’re craving Mexican and you want to get it on everyone’s calendars because your friends all have busy schedules.

● “That’s a super cool idea. The prototype looks easy to understand. You should include a profile maybe?”

● “Where is the friends list pulling from?”● “I would consider mimicking another app's "add friends" UX to make

the experience more intuitive and seem more streamlined, like snapchat. When you snap multiple people and you have your favs front and center.”

● “I don’t like rate my experience pop ups.”● “What is your revenue model?”

● App learns preferences from ratings

● Search activities by different “vibes”

● Search activities based on the weather
