Sheol Is Astonished At The King’s Mortality

Isaiah 14:9-11 Sheol from beneath is excited over you to meet you when you come; it arouses for you the spirits of the dead, all the leaders of the earth; it raises all the kings of the nations from their thrones. They will all respond and say to you, ‘Even you have been made weak as we, you have become like us. your pomp and the music of your harps have been brought down to Sheol; maggots are spread out as your bed beneath you and worms are your covering.

Heaven’s Reaction

But you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God, and I will sit on the mount of assembly In the recesses of the north.

Pride Leads To The Fall

Earth’s Report

Satan’s False Messiah Is Rejected

Let’s Humble Ourselves Before God!

Psalm 37:10-11 Yet a little while and the wicked man will be no more; and you will look carefully for his place and he will not be there. But the humble will inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity.

James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

What Does It Look Like?

1. Submit to the Scriptures: (John 12:48; 2 Timothy 3:15-17; James 1:22)

2. Submit to His authorities: (Heb. 13:17; Rom. 13:1; Eph. 5:22-24)

3. Regard one another as more important: (Philippians 2:3-4)

4. Cast your cares on Him: (1 Peter 5:6-7)

Babylon Will Have No Citizens

Isaiah 14:21-22 Prepare for his sons a place of slaughter because of the iniquity of their fathers. They must not arise and take possession of the earth and fill the face of the world with cities.” I will rise up against them,” declares the LORD of hosts, “and will cut off from Babylon name and survivors, offspring and posterity,” declares the LORD.

Yahweh’s Taunt

Isaiah 14:23 I will also make it a possession for the hedgehog and swamps of water, and I will sweep it with the broom of destruction,” declares the LORD of hosts.

Revelation 16:19b Babylon the great was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath.
