They may receive a ‘Carer’s allowance’ from the government but they usually do this task out of concern for their loved one.
They are a valuable community resource because they reduce the costs for the state and they know the patient best
What is…….Informal care – Early Years
RELATIVES, NEIGHBOURS OR FRIENDS THAT CARE FOR A CHILD WHILST THEIR PARENT IS AT WORK.
Grandparents, relatives and friends may help out with looking after the child to reduce the childcare costs for the parents.
Some parents may job share or take it in turns to look after each others children
