• Outline Services in these provisions• Categorise local services offering these

provisions• Explain how each provision contributes to

the community

Hospital

Provides immediate medical assistance to sick an injured people

Glue them on to coloured paper in landscape when they have been checked. Leave room for one more statement at the end of each row.

What is………Informal care – Health

Relatives, neighbours or friends that care for the person.

They may receive a ‘Carer’s allowance’ from the government but they usually do this task out of concern for their loved one.

They are a valuable community resource because they reduce the costs for the state and they know the patient best

What is…….Informal care – Early Years

RELATIVES, NEIGHBOURS OR FRIENDS THAT CARE FOR A CHILD WHILST THEIR PARENT IS AT WORK.

Grandparents, relatives and friends may help out with looking after the child to reduce the childcare costs for the parents.

Some parents may job share or take it in turns to look after each others children
