• The American Continent, AbyaYala, was discovered in 1492 by Christopher Columbus.

• In 1532 the Mr. Francisco Pizarro took Atahualpa prisoner.

• From this meeting, or the American Continent Abya Yala, is not the same.

• It had a different evolution.

• Since 1825, in the Republic of Bolivia has always had discrimination against women and indigenous people.

• Women didn’t have constitutional rights

• Indigenous people weren´t recognized by the state.

• Then in South America, I think the High Peru and in 1825 the Republic of Bolivar was founded which later changed its name to Bolivia.

• In 1825 the republic of Bolivia with 9 departments was created and adopted Spanish as the official language.

• The indigenous people and women are always discriminated.

• The State did censuses and they tried to minimize the peoples and nations that were in Bolivia.

• The laws don´t favor the participation of women in public administration.

• In Bolivia there has always been discrimination on the status, language and origin of the people.

• Bolivia was a state that wanted to hide their indigenous people and did not recognize them.

• But there was mutual dependence between town and country.

• Those who live in cities have always relied on products that farmers produce.

• Cultural diversity is recognized in various international instruments such as the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity (UNESCO, 2001) and the Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity Cultural Expressions (UNESCO, 2005), Convention No. 169 OIT,

• And the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of the UN September 13, 2007.

• In 2009, the Plurinational State of Bolivia, with nine departments was created. This constitution recognizes 36 official languages.

• Bolivia is defined as a "plurinational and intercultural" country in which the intracultural, intercultural and multilingual dialogue is encouraged, and the right to cultural identity of indigenous nations and people (arts. 1, 9th Nº 2 and 3, 30. Paragraph II. Nº 2, and 100. Paragraph I Nº 100. Paragraph III of the Bolivian Constitution).
