The Apostle Paul had a similar kind of faith. “For the which cause I also suffer these

things: nevertheless I am not ashamed:

for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.”

Written at the height of Christian persecution during the time of Emperor Nero.

Paul was in prison.

Paul was old, imprisoned as a criminal, deserted by most of his friends, aware that his ministry was over and aware that his death is near.

The Cause Is Worth Suffering For! “I consider that

our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

“If we died with him, we will also live with him.

If we endure, we will also reign with him.”

Whom did Paul believe in?

Paul believed in JESUS CHRIST! “Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the

dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal.” (2 Tim.2:8-9)

“I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20)

Work is a form of worship. Ministry Secular job (Col.3:17) Serving others

Worship requires work. Sacrifice of our physical bodies (Rom.12:1) Sacrifice of our resources Sacrifice of our comfort (willing to endure hardship for the sake

of the gospel)

WORSHIP GOD!

Knowing whom we believe (Jesus), what He did for us,

and what He is able to do should drive us into action – to live for Him, to worship Him,
