Space holographic technology is a progressive technology that displays various driving and driver convenience information on the front windshield in the form of a 3D hologram.

SRC (Scratch Recovery Clear) uses the elasticity of special chemically composed matters in a clear paint that has selfhealing properties. Scratches are automatically fixed over a period of time.

DSM employs facial recognition engine technology to determine the driver’s state by monitoring changes in the driver’s eye movements and facial muscles with an infrared camera installed inside the car. By measuring the driver’s blinking and facial direction patterns, it sounds an alarm sound and relays strong vibrations to the seat when abnormal states are detected.

Solar cells are a representative form of environmentally-friendly and renewable energy. We are applying solar cells to automobile sunroofs and using the A/C fan operation to reduce the A/C load during summertime while enhancing cooling performance and cooling fuel efficiency.

Pre-c rash headrests help prevent driver neck injuries by detecting possible rear collisions using a rear-facing radar or camera that is built into the vehicle. When a possible collision is detected, the headrest automatically moves closer to the driver’s head for added protection. Once the risk has passed, the headrest then returns to its normal position after a certain period of time.

Nano technology is utilized to automatically remove water or dust from the front windshield without the need for wipers.

Hyundai Motor India Foundation Launches CSR 2011Announces Project Go Green and Adoption of Model VillagesChennai  July 20th, 2011:  Hyundai Motor  India Foundation ( HMIF) , the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited, today further reiterated its’ commitment to Tamil  Nadu by launching fresh initiatives. HMIF launched two new programs” Project Go Green” and “Adoption of Model Villages” . These two programs are the latest addition to other ongoing projects such as community development, road safety, education and healthcare.

On the occasion, HMIF also welcomed the 7th batch of 120 Korean Happy Move volunteers, who will be working on upgrading living and sanitation conditions of villages and schools in the various districts of Tamil Nadu.  As a part of HMIF’s ongoing support to education projects, the Foundation undertook the following activities. i)   Donation of 450 sets of benches to government schools across the state ii)  Donation of 200 tables and chairs to teachers of 50 schoolsiii) Undertaking responsibility of sinking of Ten (10) bore wells at middle schoolsiv) Handing out of certificates to the first graduating batch of 50 nursing students who benefitted from the vocation training scheme of the companySpeaking on the occasion, Mr. R.

Sethuraman, Trustee HMIF said, “We at Hyundai Motor India Foundation remain committed to developing the community around us. Every year we add fresh initiatives to our already long list of existing projects while continuing to nurture and expand them. We are happy that the government has been equally enthusiastic in supporting our efforts to ensure sustainable benefits to the society.  The budgets for these projects are generated through the sale of our cars. Going forward we shall be engaging our customers as well to be part of these efforts

I am happy that Hyundai Motor India Foundation has wholeheartedly taken part in working together with the district administration to develop the local community. To date more than 54 villages and 62 schools in the state have benefitted from their initiatives.  I attribute the success of these projects to their continued engagement with the community and constant monitoring. Hyundai Motor Indian Foundation has invested over Rupees Twenty Crore in various CSR projects since its inception in April 2006.

About the Projects:Project “Go Green”Project “Go Green” is an income generating tree planting project with a difference.  Undertaken along with TIST, the project envisages distributing one lakh saplings to farmers in a phased manner. The farmer will plant the sapling on his land holdings and be paid by HMIF for its upkeep and maintenance. The proceeds from sale of the produce will add to his income. Saplings like , teak, jackfruit, mango etc will be given out. HMIL along with TIST will regularly monitor the progress.

Adoption of Model VillageThis scheme focuses on sanitation and income generation. Five needy villages and three of their hamlets in the Kancheepuram district have been identified under this scheme. The villagers will be provided with individual toilets and given lessons in hygiene. Schools will be provided with safe drinking water.  Women’s self help groups will be provided support and guidance to make their projects commercially viable and ensure income for the members

All this has been achieved in the least time span for an automaker(inside four decades), making Hyundai one of the fastest growing car makers in the world, re-emphasizing their unending commitment to ‘SPEED’, in all they do.But to be successful in the ever improving automobile market, speed was only one of the many important factors

They had to have cutting edge technologies, market sensitive pricing, quality product offering and more importantly, identifying and penetrating the right market with the right strategy at the right time, which is no easy task. But the pace at which Hyundai has done all these defies common logic, or may be we need to define new logic to explain what has happened.

Despite being one of the youngest car makers around, Hyundai has grown quite big, surpassing the 107 year old Ford Motor in 2009 to move into fourth place. Years ago Toyota used to say that Hyundai was the company it feared most. Today those fears have grown into a nightmare, not only for Toyota, but also for all the competitors of Hyundai.

Hyundai posts 30% rise in profits, turnover

new Delhi: with good sales of its 'santro' and 'accent' cars, Hyundai motor India has increased both its profit and sales turnover by 30 per cent for the year ended march 31, 2001. our gross profits were rs 85-87 crore during 2000-01. with the reduction in cash outflow after reduction of interest rates, the profits should increase to rs 100 crore
