There are several ways to make your

website responsive. Some recommended

solution are given in steps.

Step 1 : Allow indexing for Javascript

Allow Googlebot to crawl CSS, image files and

Javascript of your website. Edit your robot.txt

file for allowing this permission.

Step 2 : Remove unpalyable content

Remove unplayable content from your website

like videos that requires a pc to play them.

Step 3 : Use Valid Redircts

Make a mobile version of your website such that

when someone access your website from

mobile, your url should redirect to m.myurl.com.

Step 4 : Avoid 404 errors

Avoid 404 errors when visitors comes to your

site from mobile i.e. Redirection should not

result in 404 errors.

Step 5 : Remove advertising banners

Remove the advertising banners and popup

from your website. They are quite annoying for

mobile users and definitely Google will count

them.

Step 6 : Decrease loading time for Mobile

Make sure that loading time for your mobile

sites is minimum. High loading time is a big

hinderence for website ranking.

Step 7 : Use media queries

Use css media query effectively such that your

website automatically adjusts to the screen

size.

Step 8 : Stop cross linking

Don’t cross link a mobile friendly website to its

desktop version or vice versa.
