How to make a spaceship fly!

Find a background pictureDrag the corners of the photo until it fills the whole slide.

Find a rocket or spaceship graphic or draw one in Paint

or ArtragePlace the rocket at the bottom of the page.If there are flames at the bottom of the rocket hide themBy dragging the graphic off the slide a bit.

If your rocket or spaceship graphic has a white background

then…You will need to remove it by clicking on the Transparent buttonPowerPoint 2003Click on Graphic, if picture menu is not there then go to View –Toolbars –Picture. Click on Transparent button.Click on White part of graphic.

PowerPoint 2007Click on Graphic, click on Format tab. Click on Recolor button. Click on Set Transparent Color button.Click on White part of graphic.

Office 2003Click on the Zoom button to

make the screen smaller

Office 2007Drag the Zoom slider to make

the screen smaller

You need to make the slide smaller so that you can use the

space outside the slide for objects to

fly in!

Now Animate!Click on the graphic!

PowerPoint 2003To animate the rocketGo to Slideshow -Custom Animation

Click on Add an Effect -Motion Paths – Draw Custom Path – and then line or curve

PowerPoint 2007Animations tab, click on No Animation arrow and select Custom Animation

Click and drag a path from the bottom of the rocket to off the screen.

Click on the Slideshow button,

then click to make the object animate.

You need to drag the motion path right off the slide so that the object

will disappear off the slide.

•Duplicate the first slide•Click on the rocket•Click once on the arrow up key•Duplicate that slide•Click on the rocket•Click once on the arrow up key•Click and drag slightly on the green Rotate button•Repeat!
