‘Believe’ - Week 8
“Believe,” our 10-week church-wide Bible
study, is a spiritual growth experience that
helps Christians of all ages think, act and be
more like Jesus. Among our “Believe”
opportunities:
Sunday ‘Believe’ Bible study: Suellen
Estes leads a weekly “Believe” Bible study
every Sunday at 10:15am (between
services) in the church parlor downstairs.
All are welcome!
Sunday ‘Believe’ Growth Gatherings:
Each week between our Sunday morning
services at the church, we meet in the
gym near the stage from about 10:15-
11am for a pastor-led “deeper dive”
discussion into that week’s “Believe”
sermon topic. Child care is provided in the
nursery for children through age 2, and in
the downstairs youth area for 3 and older.
Sunday Notes
TODAY - Offering My Time: This weekend’s
sermon focuses on “Offering My Time.” To
supplement the message, Thrivent Financial
will be on hand after each service with
information about its Thrivent Action Teams, a
program that helps provide seed money for
different projects, as well as Thrivent Choice,
which helps you easily designate funds to help
Peace. Thrivent will also talk briefly about
these programs during our Growth Gathering
at 10:15am in the gym on Sunday, March 19.
Board of Directors: The next Peace Board
of Directors meeting is planned for Tuesday,
March 21, at 5pm in the church Christ Care
Room (211). All are welcome to attend.
Communion Workshop: The next
communion workshop for youth will be held
Saturday, April 8, from 10am-2pm at the
church. Lunch will be provided. Parents are
asked to attend the first and last half-hour of
the workshop. Call the church office at
793.9025 to sign up.
Peace Board Nominations: A Nominations
Committee has been formed and is seeking
candidates for the Peace Board of Directors
for terms beginning July 1. Please follow the
instructions you received in your email this
past week or obtain copies from the church
office. The completed Nominations Form must
be submitted to the church office, or to a
member of the Nominating Committee, by
Monday, April 10.
Community Good Friday Service: The
annual Tri-City Good Friday Worship Service
will be held on April 14 at the Horizons
Conference Center, 6200 State St., at 1pm.
The Rev. Dr. Richard Wolfram, who is in
administration at the Michigan District office in
Ann Arbor, will be the guest speaker. Peace
will have its Good Friday service at 6:30pm at
the Adams Campus.
Monday Services: Please note that there
are no Monday night worship services
throughout Lent. Monday services will resume
on April 24.
New Member Class: Interested in
becoming a member of Peace Lutheran
Church, or know someone who is? We will be
hosting our next New Member Class on
Saturday, April 29, from 9am-noon in the
church parlor. This class is for anyone wishing
