I wear a different Halloween costume every year because I love all the scary creatures of Halloween. Last year I was a vampire. This year I’m going to be a werewolf.

We visit our neighbours’ houses and ask for a trick or a treat. It’s called trick-or-treating. We usually get a treat but if we don’t, we scare our neighbours. Halloween is scary and fun!

We practice some of the ancient traditions. We make a Jack o’lantern from a turnip and put a candle in it. We also have a bonfire and fireworks. We wear Halloween costumes and eat lots of chocolate. We go trick or treating.

Most of the traditions from England and America are from Ireland because we celebrated Halloween first. I love Halloween because it’s scary and exciting! It’s part of our history and culture.
