Julie Morris graduated from Northeastern Uni-versity (in Boston, MA) in 1994 with a degree in physical therapy and has been working in Tuc-son, Arizona ever since. She has worked for prestigious clinics such as ProActive Physical Therapy and TMC’s out-patient physical therapy clinic at the Tucson Orthopaedic Institute.
Julie enjoys taking at least two or three con-tinuing education courses per year to keep up with the ever-changing field of physical thera-py. Most of her courses have been with the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine which has provided her with a keen knowledge of biomechanics that can be applied to treating joints and muscles through manual mobiliza-tions and evaluating how one structure effects another, both at rest and in movement. She has a unique method of combining this book knowledge with her own personal approach, which respects the body’s natural energetic system.
Though Julie can skillfully treat all body parts, her areas of specialty include the foot/ankle, shoulder and the cervical spine. Having had a total hip replacement at the age of 21, she has a lot to offer to those with hip replacements (especially those who continue to be in chronic pain of the hip, thigh or lower back).
Julie has teaching experience at Pima Medical Institute and at the Arizona School of Acupunc-ture and Oriental Medicine.
On a personal note, she is an avid road bicy-clist, enjoys Tai Chi for balancing and centering of the body and mind and tends her rose gar-den of more than 40 bushes.
