After conducting a search in Google, click “settings” and choose advanced search.
Using Google Image Search for Copyright Friendly Photos
Next, on usage rights, choose “free to use or share.”
Finally, click “advanced search” to complete your search.
When your search results are returned, take a look at a few of the pictures and you can double check the image license. Minimally, they will say “attribution,” which means you must credit your source.
Sometimes, it will be listed under the Google images banner on the right.

Other times, you will need to look around a little. This picture includes the permission details underneath the image.

This one is using the Creative Commons license icon. The CC BY-ND indicates CC Attribution-NoDerivs , which allows for use if you attribute the owner and don’t change the image.
