3 Levels of Science• Physical science (50% of the class)

o Review from middle school• Biology (25% of the class)

o VERY hard to move from bio to honors• Honors Biology (Top 25% of the class)

o In January, struggling students moved down to regular bio

• Placement based on tests @ St. Joe, GPA (compared to class average), and teacher recommendation

• Textbook is review from middle school – they want to be sure you know this!

9th Grade Homework

• This is for bio 1 (not honors)

• All science levels should expect 20-40 minutes of science homework or studying a day

• 40 min for honors bio

On the Notecard• Name• Which freshman class you want to be in• Put notecard in the bucket

• Ms. B will talk to you about what needs to change if necessary

• Official recommendations made in March-ish
