Dacey Ltd have been manufacturing handmade footwear since 1972. We manufacture Stock, Modular and Bespoke footwear to order, draft and cast. All of which are available in all of the styles shown in this catalogue. (Please note that some of the more complex designs are subject to an additional cost surcharge as indicated by * after the name of the footwear)
As our footwear range has modernised over the years, so to have our production methods. Our footwear uppers are now designed and patterns cut using CAD CAM technology. We are now in the process of installing CAD CAM footwear design and introducing last milling technology.
Wherever possible our footwear is machine lasted and standardised sole units are used for production.
We are the first company to offer a PU Sole unit as standard on the full range of footwear types including our bespoke range. The units are very hard wearing and help to achieve extremely lightweight flexible footwear resulting in high compliance rates and reduced repair costs.
Importantly, for the more complex cast footwear, we can still utilise many of the more traditional methods of manufacture, this includes hand lasting, hand finishing and individual pattern cutting. We are also one of the few companies with the ability to manufacture full welted footwear.
We are able to offer all clients a fast, efficient service with the added value of free back-up technical knowledge. This unrivalled customer service results in well fitting, hard wearing, attractive footwear every time.
To complement our footwear range, our state-of-the-art computer aided design and FFO milling machinery enables us to manufacture all types of functional foot orthoses on site. In addition to this, we provide our own range of semi-bespoke and modular insole systems for both the adult and paediatric markets.
