Transcript of Final Jumpcut Presentation

The internet based video editing software

It allows users to publish their video content on the internet.

It allows users to edit their video footage. It permits the remixing of video footage

that was previously posted on the site. It allows users to create slideshows of

their favorite images. It creates a community of filmmakers.

"You could burn multiple DVDs and drop them in the mail - or you could save yourself the trouble and just upload your masterpiece to Jumpcut.com, add music and visual effects using the site's own editing tools, and then email everybody the link. Give your friends access to your stuff and they can remix it or blend it with their own footage of the same event (What's a little video mashing among friends?).” TIME MAGAZINE

CLIPS

"The music video for the surreal folk song "I Got a Bunny," written and performed by Juanito Moore, is not something you will see on VH1. But the video, shot on a rainy sidewalk in front of Mr. Moore's home in Grand Rapids, Mich., has another distinction: it was assembled, not in a traditional cutting room or with PC-based editing software, but entirely on the Web, using an online service called Jumpcut.” DAILY VARIETY

SIMILAR TO YOUTUBE

Jumpcut was acquired by Yahoo in October 2006

Part Final Cut Pro, part YouTube. The killer feature is the remix option. It allows users to take video content you

have published on the site and re-edit it and post their “remixed” version.

It is free to register for an account. No software is downloaded onto your

computer. Uploading video, still images, and music

is simple and a movie is automatically generated.

You have the ability to re-arrange your clips and add titles and sound effects.

Jumpcut has partnered with Flickr and Facebook to make it easy to upload content from those sites.

Facebook is an independent site. Flickr is part of Yahoo! Jumpcut also provides its users with a

personal upload email address that allows users to send material to their Jumpcut account.

Costs thousands of dollars. Provides more features and more options

than Jumpcut. Is a software based platform, not an

internet based one. Works only on Apple computers. Is more difficult to learn.

Does not permit users to edit footage. Does not allow remixing of videos. Is accessed by a lot more people than

Jumpcut. No email account that can automatically

import video, images and sound files.

Jumpcut is a revolutionary piece of software that will change the landscape of video editing and video publishing by using next generation Web 2.0 technologies.
