About Sabri Farouki
Sabri Farouki is a designer, educator and licensed architect living and working in New York City.
Prior to his association with BIG, he has worked at Diller Scofidio + Renfro on the Columbia Business School / Manhattanville campus and the Berkeley Art Muse-um / Pacific Film Archive for the UC Berkeley. At SHoP Architects he worked on a forty-story residential building and the renovation of an eighty thousand square foot art gallery building. Sabri also was engaged on several projects at COOKFOX Architects in New York City.
Sabri has taught in in the core architectural representation curriculum at Wash-ington University, St. Louis as an Adjunct Lecturer and at Columbia University, where he also taught digital fabrication as an Adjunct Assistant Professor.
As an undergraduate at Washington University, St. Louis, Sabri received the Excellence in Craftsmanship Award and was a finalist for the Frederick Widmann Prize and the Faculty Award for best overall achievement. In the M. Arch Pro-gram at Columbia University, he received the Alpha Rho Chi Bronze Medal for “an affinity for leadership” and “promise of real professional merit through his attitude and personality.”
