• Morning co�ee, lunch, and materials will be included.• Attendance on Days 1 and 2 is required to be eligible to attend Days 3 and 4.

• Teachers must attend all 4 days of training to be certified.• This is for teachers who have NOT had previous ERWC training.

ERWC is aligned with the Common Core State Standards, meets A-G requirements, and emphasizes the in-depth study of expository, analytical, and argumentative reading and writing. These resources were designed to help students:

• Meet the Common Core State Standards• Develop academic literacy skills necessary for success in college

and the world of work• Demonstrate pro�ciency on the CSU English Placement Test

Teachers attending the training will receive all materials for the year-long 12th grade course, access to the ERWC online community, access to four modules for each grade level 9th through 11th, and two professional books. The professional learning will include:

• Lessons for preparing students to meet college-level classes• Strategies for helping students read and write rhetorically• An opportunity to calibrate with peers regarding school-level

expectations with college-level expectations • An opportunity to plan as a team to best prepare English students

• Complete 12th grade course!

• Modules for 9th -11th grades, four per grade level!

• Common Core State Standards-aligned!
