High School Expository Reading and Writing Course (ERWC) For High School English Teachers Sacramento County Office of Education Conference Center 3661 Whitehead Street, Suite 200 Mather, CA 95655 June 12, 2017 June 13, 2017 October 5, 2017 November 9, 2017 All sessions 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. • Morning coffee, lunch, and materials will be included. • Attendance on Days 1 and 2 is required to be eligible to attend Days 3 and 4. • Teachers must attend all 4 days of training to be certified. • This is for teachers who have NOT had previous ERWC training. These resources were designed to help students: • Meet the Common Core State Standards • Develop academic literacy skills necessary for success in college and the world of work • Demonstrate proficiency on the CSU English Placement Test Teachers attending the training will receive all materials for the year-long 12th grade course, access to the ERWC online community, access to four modules for each grade level 9th through 11th, and two professional books.
