User Guide for Students

Instructions for Users
• Please make sure your computer is installed with the latest ADOBE PLAYER. Download: www.adobe.com
• Use ONLY Google Chrome as your browser
• Create “EET_VoiceRecording” Folder in the “Documents Folder”
• Go to: http://10.0.23.49/EET_SPEAKING_UiTM/EET_Speak_Oct2015/AudioRecorder/project/deploy/register.php
Instructions for Users
• Plug in the cables of the headphones correctly &
increase the volume of the headphones.
• Increase the volume of the speaker
at the bottom of your computer screen
• REMINDER: Finish all contexts in Task A & save
your voice recording in “EET_VoiceRecording” Folder
in the “Documents Folder” before you proceed to
Task B.

1) Fill up all required
information:
a) Full Name
b) Student ID
c) Your Email
2) Fill up all required
information:
a) User Name
b) Student NRIC
c) Your Password
3) Please
REMEMBER the
password you have
typed to enable you to
take EET
4) Click here to
register yourself
5) If you have successfully
registered, click this link
to proceed

You will see this notification if
you have been successfully
registered. Click “OK”.
You will see this error
window if you try to re-
register with the same
information. Click “OK”.

1) Fill-in the
required
information to log
into the system
2)Type the SAME
password you have
created earlier
3) Click “Sign in”
link to proceed with
EET

allocated for EET

1) Click this button to
start recording your
voice
2) You will see this
window, “Adobe Plash
Player Settings”. Click to
allow.
3) You will see another
window to reaffirm the use
of camera & microphone.
Click “Allow”
Screen 6 2) After you have stopped
recording, you will see this
window. The grey play
button allows you to listen to
your recording
3) Click “TRIM”
button to proceed
with saving
4) Click “SAVE”
button to save your
voice recording to a
designated location
5) Name your audio file exactly as
specified in:
4a:STUDENT ID
4b.Task
4c.Task A or B
4d. Context 1,2,3,4,or 5.
Don’t forget to type the underscore
symbol in between
4a 4b 4c 4d
1) Make sure this voice
indicator is blinking
before you start recording

1) The designated location of the
audio files is in Documents
EET_VoiceRecording

2) 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d
Label each file as
required
3) Click “Save” after you
have labelled each file
exactly as required in 4a, 4b,
4c, 4d.

Context 1 to 5. Save
every time after
completing each
context
2) After completing
Task A, Context 1 –
to 5, click Task B

“EET_VoiceRecording” FOLDER IN THE “DOCUMENTS FOLDER” BEFORE YOU
PROCEED TO TASK B

1) Click the PLAY
button on the
controller to listen to
the conversation
between 2 speakers
2) Click to record your
voice response. Repeat
the recording process as
described in Screen 5 to 7
3) Complete all the 5
recordings (Context
1-5) as required for
Task B
4) After
completing all the
tasks (A & B),
click this link to
send all your files
to the server

1) Click each of the
links e.g TaskA1 to
upload each file
individually
2) Click “Choose File” button to
choose your recorded file in the
Document→EET_VoiceRecording
(refer to Screen 11, 2(a) and 2 (b))
3) Your selected file will
be displayed here
4) Click “upload”
button to send each
of your files to the
server

sending all 10 files:
