Uppermantle:Goodmatchbetweenobservedhighvelocityanomaliesandreconstructedtrencheswithslabsinkingrateof~1cm/yr,consistentwithconvergenceratesalongtheCaribbeansubducIonzones.•  Above~200kmdepth,high

velociIescorrespondtoposiIonofsubducIonalongLesserAnIllesArc(LAA),

•  between~250-450kmcorrespondtosubducIonalongtheOuterAnIllesArc(OAA),

Inthelowermantle,ourpredictedslabposiIonsagreewellwithtwoanomaliesbelownorth-easternSouthAmerica,asimagedbyVanBenthemetal.(JGR,2013).SlabssubductedatthenorthernandsouthernGACwereseparatedbytheatthisImeacIveproto-Caribbeanridge()
