Strengthening Skills
Coming from an extremely humble background, Sajda Bibi patiently endured the physical obstacles related to her eye. She had some issues with her left eye however due to the lack of resources and treatment from local hospitals with minimal facilities, her condition deteriorated and taking her eye out was the only option.
Still determined, Sajda pushed her luck one last time and visited Al–Shifa where her eye was operated immediately. The doctors not only saved her from losing her eye but are also trying to recover her eyesight.

Al-Shifa Trust has been continuously upgrading and expanding the armamentarium of glaucoma management from time to time, considering the advancements in the field of medical technology. The latest addition in this regard is the introduction of a new laser modality called Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty. This laser is considered as a safe and reliable treatment option for the patients of Primary Open Angle Glaucoma – the most common type of glaucoma in Pakistan.
