1) THE GROWING POPULATION IS PUTTING A STRAIN ON THE ENVIORNMENT,

INFRASTRUTURE & THE NATURAL RESOURCES

2) INDRUSTRIAL POLLUTION, SOIL EROSION, DEFORESTATION , RAPID

INDRUSTRIALIZATION, URBANIZATION & LAND DEGRADATION ARE ALL WORSENING

1) Polluting Industrial Units2) AIRCRAFT Pollutants3) Vehicle Emission4) COAL Pollution

1) 80% of urban waste in INDIA ends up in the country’s rivers .

2) A growing no of bodies of water in INDIA are unfit for human use & in the RIVER GANGA holy to the COUNTRY’s 82% majority is dying slowly due to unchecked pollution.

3) Much of river pollution comes from untreated sewage. Samples taken recently from RIVER GANGA shows that levels of fecial coliform, a dangerous bacterium that comes from untreated sewage, were some 3000% higher than what is considered safe for bathing.

1) The major burden of these hazards is borne by the lungs2) Bronchial asthma & other allergies; chronic obstructive

lung disease, respiratory infections are of the common problems with a strong environmental risk.

3) This gaseous air –pollutant along with others noxious gases emitted from the burning of fire crackers on the eve of DIWALI FESTIVAL aggravates the risk of triggering an attack in 30mn asthmatics in INDIA and also the potential to cause new cases of asthma.
