Two entrances to this memorial – one labeled “Pacific” and the other “Atlantic”. It represents the war fought from both shores.

Each star represents 100 lives lost in World War II.

Columns that surround the fountain each have a name of a state or territory during the time of WWII. Each column has a wreath on front and back – one of oak representing industry and

one of wheat representing agriculture
