Dear Year 4 Walliams Class,
I hope you are all keeping well! Please find below some instructions for this week’s tasks…
• Times Tables Test – You know what to do! Don’t forget to check your answer afterwards
• Maths – This week, we are going to look at time. Make sure you take a look at the PowerPoint
before having a go at the tasks. There are also tasks assigned on Mathletics too so make sure you
give those a go as well! Remember, you can’t move on Mathletics unless all previous tasks have
been completed (some of you are racking up 15 activities or more on there!)
• English – This week, we are going to continue writing our play scripts which we began last week.
• Reading – This week I have attempted to set you some work on Scholastic Reading Pro… log in and
hopefully it will work! If technology fails us, please choose a book and enjoy reading. Make sure
you complete the quiz at the end!
• Science – As usual, take a look at the PowerPoint before having a go at the activities below in the
pack, all still linked to Living Thing and Their Habitats – our current Science topic.
• Computing – This week, have a go at some of the coding activities on this website:
https://www.barefootcomputing.org/homelearning
• Humanities – Over this half term, you have been researching different locations. This week, I’d
like you to collect all of your research and create a comparison grid, comparing different
information you’ve found out about the different locations. Can you spot any similarities and
differences?
• PE – We need some energy in our last week! Share a photo of you completing Joe Wick’s
#PEwithJoe with us via twitter @audleyprimary
• Spellings – There is a new list coming out this week and has been uploaded on the website. Make
sure you practise list 4, using the activities on the second page as a way of memorising them.
You don’t have to print everything! Instead, write down the answers for each task on some lined
paper in a notebook to save yourselves some ink and paper – this is fine.
Everything is a little confusing with the Government’s plans for schools to return, but if everyone
follows social distancing and the rate of infection doesn’t go above 1, we might hopefully get to see
each other in the flesh before the end of July! Let’s keep hoping
I’ve also uploaded an optional activity on the website to support your mental wellbeing that you are
more than welcome to try out this week.
Stay safe and keep well!
Miss Hart.
