Dear Parents, Carers and Community members
At ICS, the education, wellbeing, and safety of our students and
staff is paramount. For this reason, we have systems in place to
ensure everyone is provided with a quality education and safe
environment. One of the most important things your child can
do to achieve academic success is also one of the most basic:
going to school every day, committing to their learning and not
interfering with other students learning. Unfortunately there are
some student’s at ICS that are stopping the flow of learning in
classrooms, therefore the School will be taking action. As every
child has a right to receive an education, it is our duty of care to
ensure they are provided quality education.
If you wish to have a meeting, phone call, or yarn with your
child’s teacher or any other member of staff, please make an
appointment. You can drop in at the front office between
8.20am and 3.40pm or call us on 69951108 to organise a suita-
ble time.
2018- 2020 School Plan
One of the ICS Strategic Directions of our new School Plan is
‘Confident Learners’, with the purpose to implement a relevant,
innovative and dynamic curriculum through an integrated
approach to quality teaching, curriculum planning and delivery,
and assessment that meets the diverse learning needs of
students, promotes excellence and creates active and informed
students. During this year, the staff will be researching different
models of innovative, growth mindset and evidence data
teaching and learning deliveries that best suits the Ivanhoe
Central Students. There will be many fantastic opportunities for
students to grow academically and personally. Stay tune for
more updates as this will be an exciting journey.
My door is and always has been open – whether you are happy
or sad.
Have a great week
P. Sharp - Principal

Roo Star: Respectful:
I am respectful of
others We ask that all students keep this in
mind when interacting with each
others. They need to remember that
we are all different, not one person is
the same.
Therefore we need to
respect each others special
qualities no matter how
different we are from one
another.
Ms Sharp asked the question: “ If you had 6 oranges in one hand and 7 apples in the
other, what would I have”?
Clay answered “big hands”!

‘Char lie’s Stars’ wr itten by Kat Barwick and Jedda Davis.
Charlie misses Grandpa. But the stars in the sky, remind him of Grandpa’s shin-
ing eyes. Where else will Charlie find stars?
Follow Charlie on an adventure through the seasons as he finds stars in surprising
places! Charlie’s Stars is a heartfelt story about family and remembering loved
ones.
‘The Ugly Five’ written by Julie Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Meet the ugliest animals roaming the savannah. They’re gangly, warty, bumpy, bris-

Everyone flees when they see us arrive.
