Creative writing – getting started
Free writing is a way to generate new short story ideas, and to go places with your creative writing you wouldn't go otherwise. At the very least it will get you to set pen to paper.
Use this line as a story starter“Why bother to take part when you know you
are going to loose?”
Describe a person's hands. Who are they? What do you notice about their hands?
Nails? Skin? Shape? Colour? What are they holding? What have they
dropped? What are they reaching for? What job does this person have? How old are they?
What story does their hands tell?
