Why go green?• F-Gas emissions to be cut by 2/3 by 2030 in the EU.• F-Gases (Fluorinated Gases) are man made gases

with a global warming effect 23,000 times greater than Carbon Dioxide.

Solar Panels fueling Dutch Cold Storage facility

• Kloosterboer Delta Terminal now has 1800 Solar Panels on its roof, providing part of the energy needed to run the cold storage complex.

• These panels produce enough energy to run 130 households.

Geothermal Energy

• Geothermal Energy comes from radioactive decay of the elements of the earth’s core.

• Energy is constantly being generated by heated water pumped out of molten rock.

• Electricity is being produced in the Netherlands to run greenhouses, commercial buildings and cold storage facilities.

Aquifer Cold Storage• Aquifer Cold-Energy Storage is based on

the use of groundwater to store winter cold for later use in the summer/warmer months.

• The colder groundwater is used for cooling cold storage facilities, buildings and the like during warmer months.
