Glass: it packages your products safely. It preserves their quality and whole-

Glass: the demand for glass has risen steadily in recent years, particularly in
Eastern Europe, and has proven largely immune to economic fluctuations.
Thanks to its technological leadership and its ability to deliver what customers
need, Vetropack has been an active participant in this growth process, gene-
rating roughly one quarter of its overall sales by supplying glass packaging
products to multinational food and beverage companies such as Coca-Cola,
Heineken and Nestlé in 16 European countries.
Glass and Vetropack: we know how demanding our key customers are and
fully intend to justify their confidence in years to come, just as we also intend
to maintain our leading position in our domestic markets – through strong
regional ties, through locally-based expertise and through our pro-active
approach to product innovation and product development. Finally, we also
intend to sustain and enhance our already excellent environmental record by
further refining the life cycles of our ecologically sound primary material and

Ever since its foundation almost a century ago Vetropack, an independent
family business which now has a stock market listing, has been growing
steadily. Originally serving only the Swiss market, it has transformed itself
into an international group of companies specializing in comprehensive glass
packaging solutions and employing some 2,800 people at six ISO-9001-cer-
tified production plants in five European countries. Out of the single glass-
works of yesteryear has grown a dynamic high-volume supplier which melts
up to 3,000 tons of glass every day and ships 3 billion units of glass packa-
ging every year. On this road to success Vetropack has not only sought to
meet the needs and requirements of its customers but has also continually
measured its products and services against its own high standards. No matter
where Vetropack manufactures glass, it always follows the same motto "One
